Who takes your plan

Using your Blue Cross plan at Riverside.

Every clinician, every specialty

Because all 13 of our clinicians take Blue Cross, including MESSA and Anthem, you can pick the right fit instead of the only in-network name. Blue Care Network (BCN) is a separate HMO plan run by Blue Cross. Eight of our clinicians take BCN; see therapists who take BCN.

How we check coverage

Before your first session we confirm your benefits with the plan, including any copay, deductible or visit limits, so the first bill is not a surprise. Bring your member ID to the free consult and we take it from there.
Coverage depends on your specific plan. We tell you what we find, even when it means another option is cheaper for you.

Coverage & cost

If your plan doesn’t cover it, here’s the cost.

Sessions are $160 (53+ minutes) and the intake is $220 if you pay yourself. HSA/FSA cards work, and we provide superbills for out-of-network plans. We do not accept Medicaid or Medicare. Full fees & insurance details →

Questions people ask

Blue Cross and therapy, answered plainly.

Is Blue Care Network the same as Blue Cross?

No. BCN is Blue Cross’s HMO, with its own network. All of our clinicians take Blue Cross PPO plans; eight take BCN. Your card says which one you have. Clinicians who take BCN

Can I use my plan for online sessions?

Most commercial plans cover telehealth the same way they cover office visits, but plans differ. We check yours before you start. Telehealth is open to anyone located in Michigan during the session. How online therapy works

How fast can I start?

Start with a free 15-minute phone consult with the clinician you’d actually see. First sessions are usually within about a week of that call.

What if I’m in crisis?

Riverside is not a crisis service. If you’re in crisis, call 988 or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, call 911, or go to your nearest emergency room.

Bring your card. We’ll handle the rest.

Fifteen minutes, no cost, no obligation. Tell us what’s going on and we’ll tell you honestly whether we’re the right place.
